Humanising Nigeria’s out-of-school children crisis through the stories of families returning to learning.
Over 20 million Nigerian children are out of school, mainly due to poverty, insecurity, and lack of infrastructure. Traditional systems fail vulnerable groups - children with disabilities and those from extremely poor households.
A narrative-driven documentary using personal stories of children and families to humanise the crisis and showcase the Accelerated Learning Programme: mobile classrooms, community involvement, and innovations like waste recycling to pay school fees - with testimonials from beneficiaries, parents, and programme leaders.
- Raised awareness and visibility among sponsors, partners, and government stakeholders
- Contributed to the enrollment of over 5,000 beneficiaries into quality accelerated learning programmes
- Supported advocacy efforts and calls for policy change
- Enabled continued funding and sponsorships through transparent impact verification
